Which doll?! HELP!

I say get Nellie and AGT#23.I just got her and she is gorgeous!I love her.Even though Nellie's hair is short,and you can't do much with it,she is still cute.

I have to agree with everyone else, Nellie is adorable. Whether you get her or not my vote for an AGT doll would be 23. I was deciding between her and 25 when I got my today doll a while ago and went with 25, but it was a close race! I still might get her in the future to be my mermaid doll if I decide to make Sam into Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Anywho Nellie and 23 get my votes!

Oooh, I'd DEFINITELY go for Nellie first, but if you do two (how exciting would that be!? [img]biggrin.gif[/img] ), I'd also get AGT22. The color of her hair just stands out compared to all the other AGs, imo. Too cute!

That DH! [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]wink.gif[/img] ---I showed him this thread this morning, and NOW he says he doesn't really like #23 much at all, he likes #24!! (as far as he likes any doll, I mean) I mean, WHAT am I to do with that man? (He's such a terrific DH, though; Gotta keep him! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] )

But actually, I was only considering #23 because she's more different from any dolls I already have-- I don't really feel her calling to me like #24 does.
I told DH that if he likes #24, maybe I should wait and let him get her for me on some future occasion, and he said he wasn't planning on getting me any more dolls, EVER--I was getting plenty all by myself! [img]eek.gif[/img] (His plans may change, though [img]wink.gif[/img] )

So now I'm thinking maybe I should get #24 and perhaps the Asian doll.
I never would have thought of selling my Mattel Asian if DH hadn't suggested it--but that was back when he thought 3 or 4 dolls was "a lot", and he might have thought I was collecting "too many dolls"--whatever THAT means.
(Hmmm---"too many dolls"--I think that's a myth, or maybe some foreign phrase--everyone here knows that there's no such thing!)

And I'm probably not getting #22 this time around, though I know I'll want her eventually.

So, now I'm down to: #24, #4, or Nellie!

The Asian and #24 are so different from each other, and if I "rebate" the outfits, that's 2 dolls for a really good price! Or, I might still buy Nellie and just one of the AGT's, after all.

So, I'll see if I find a nice #4, or who amongst the 3 "finalists" wants to come home with me most when I get to AGPC!

Thanks for a great "venting venue", everyone! It's so much more fun to be able to share my excitement with people who care about AG dolls!

My daughter is crazy about Buffy the Vampire Slayer and says that she would get Dawn (23) and Buffy (24.)

I would vote for Nellie and the Asian doll. I went to New York planning on picking up Nellie, but I fell in Love with #4. The minute I saw her with glasses, I knew her name was Amy and that she was coming home with me. [img]smile.gif[/img]

That was two years ago and I finally just got my Nellie. She is adorable too! If you want an Asian doll, but aren't too sure that you like #4 and if you don't have Jess, she might be another option as she looks pretty similar to #4.

I bought a #4 yesterday. I have a PM Asian doll too but i really love my new one. Her hair is nice and the face paint is beautiful. I was sort of unhappy with my Jess since she has a loose wig but i think this Mattell doll is great. Most of my dolls are PM but i do have #24 and she's cute. It's really hard to choose.

My Mattel #4 had nice smooth hair, but it seemed kind of "flat" and thin--not much body, though it did stay curled under nicely on the ends. How is your #4's hair ? Do you have any pictures?

Sorry i don't have a camera. My #4s hair is great. It's much better than Jess which is my other recent doll and it's nice and thick. My older Asian doll has thick hair too but it's not as soft. But what i really like about my new doll is the face paint. It not as bright as the older one and seems more natural.
